What the study showed, in plain terms

This publication examines coagulation times, activities of factors ii, vii, ix and x, pivka-ii. Study population or evidence base: 40 healthy adults aged 25–40. Intervention or exposure: MK-7 90 μg/day.

Key findings

The study found no significant changes in measured coagulation times or vitamin K-dependent clotting-factor activity after one month of MK-7.

What this study can and cannot tell us

No placebo group, a small sample and short follow-up. Healthy participants were not taking anticoagulants, so these results do not resolve vitamin K antagonist interactions.
