What the study showed, in plain terms

This publication examines plasma mk-7 concentrations, absorption and elimination, circadian variation. Study population or evidence base: Two pharmacokinetic studies involving 5 and 12 healthy men. Intervention or exposure: Single fasting MK-7 dose of 1 mg.

Key findings

MK-7 reached peak plasma concentrations at approximately six hours and showed prolonged persistence. The small endogenous-rhythm experiment found no clear circadian pattern.

What this study can and cannot tell us

Small male-only studies at a relatively high single dose. They do not determine an optimal daily supplement dose or prove a preferred time of day.
