What the study showed, in plain terms

This publication examines plasma mk-7, vitamin d status, vitamin k-status biomarkers. Study population or evidence base: Healthy men and postmenopausal women aged 45–65. Intervention or exposure: MK-7 in fortified yogurt, nutrient-enriched yogurt or softgel capsules.

Key findings

All delivery approaches improved vitamin K biomarkers. The nutrient-enriched yogurt produced higher circulating MK-7 than capsules, suggesting a food-matrix effect.

What this study can and cannot tell us

A small delivery-form study; the abstract does not state the full sample or MK-7 dose. It cannot isolate individual effects of D3, magnesium or the other added nutrients.
