Study snapshot

DesignRandomized controlled study of a multi-ingredient or combined intervention
ModelHuman participants
Sample120 adults aged 60–80 years
InterventionNR plus pterostilbene (Basis), standard and double dose, versus placebo
Duration8 weeks
EndpointsWhole-blood NAD+; adverse events

What the study showed, in plain terms

The combination increased whole-blood NAD+ in older adults, with no serious adverse events reported during the trial.

Key findings

NAD+ rose approximately 40% and 90% in the two active arms at week 4.

What this study can and cannot tell us

The intervention contains two ingredients. Biomarker changes and short follow-up do not establish clinical efficacy or lifetime safety. Read with the published author correction.
