What the study showed, in plain terms

The clinical portion of this 2011 study randomized 107 participants to a low-molecular-weight chicken-comb preparation or placebo for 30 days. The active product supplied about 37.5 mg/day of HA and was reported to increase skin moisture and pH. Because it was single-blind and used a preparation rather than purified HA, it is supporting rather than high-tier efficacy evidence.
