What the study showed, in plain terms

This prospective study compared recurrence outcomes in patients receiving a combined flavonoid intervention containing apigenin and EGCG with matched controls.

Key findings

The treated cohort reported fewer recurrent colorectal neoplasias than controls, generating an early clinical signal worth further study.

What this study can and cannot tell us

The study was not a randomized isolated-apigenin trial. Because apigenin was combined with EGCG, any observed effect cannot be attributed to apigenin alone.
