What the study showed, in plain terms

GlaucoCetin was a randomized placebo-controlled glaucoma study of a proprietary medical food that included fisetin among several ingredients. Only 12 participants were enrolled before the trial was terminated after the supplement manufacturer was acquired and production stopped.

Because the intervention was multi-component, the fisetin dose was not reported, and the trial ended early, it cannot establish a fisetin effect on glaucoma or vision.

Key findings

  • Actual enrollment was 12 participants.
  • The intervention was GlaucoCetin, not purified fisetin.
  • The trial was terminated after product production was discontinued.

What this study can and cannot tell us

  • Terminated early with very small enrollment.
  • Multi-component product prevents fisetin-specific attribution.
  • Fisetin dose not reported.
  • No adequate efficacy conclusion can be drawn.
