What the study showed, in plain terms

This worm study tested apigenin glycosides from green pepper for effects on lifespan and stress resistance.

Key findings

The apigenin-glycoside fraction increased mean lifespan by about 23.9%, reduced ROS and required several conserved stress-response pathways including DAF-16, SKN-1 and SIR-2.1.

What this study can and cannot tell us

The intervention was a plant-derived glycoside fraction in worms, not isolated apigenin in humans. Lifespan effects cannot be directly translated to people.
