What the study showed, in plain terms

Researchers developed several topical CoQ10 nanocarrier systems and selected a transethosomal formulation that achieved high skin deposition.

In the clinical appraisal, the transethosomal topical formulation produced a better response in androgenic alopecia than a topical CoQ10 solution. This finding is formulation-specific and does not validate oral CoQ10 for hair growth.

Key findings

Transethosomes produced the highest CoQ10 deposition among the tested topical vesicular formulations.

Clinical and dermoscopic appraisal favored the transethosomal topical CoQ10 formulation over CoQ10 solution.

The study supports topical-delivery research, not a claim that oral CoQ10 supplements treat androgenic alopecia.

What this study can and cannot tell us

The PubMed abstract provides limited detail on the clinical sample size and comparator procedures, and the work combines formulation development with clinical appraisal rather than a large independent hair-loss RCT.

Results apply to a specific topical transethosomal system and cannot be generalized to oral capsules, standard creams or all CoQ10 products.
