Study snapshot

DesignRandomized placebo-controlled trial of a multi-ingredient supplement
ModelAdults aged 30-63 years
Sample41
InterventionTwo daily capsules providing AM3 150 mg, spermidine 0.6 mg and hesperidin 50 mg versus placebo
Duration2 months
EndpointsImmunity Clock biological age; Leukocyte immune function; Redox markers; Inflammatory cytokines

What the study showed, in plain terms

A small randomized trial reported favorable immune, redox and inflammation changes after a two-month supplement containing AM3, 0.6 mg spermidine and hesperidin. The study also reported a large change in an Immunity Clock estimate of biological age.

Key findings

The trial is relevant because spermidine was part of a human oral intervention, but it does not show that spermidine alone caused the immune or biological-age findings.

What this study can and cannot tell us

Small sample, short duration, three-active-ingredient formulation, surrogate immune/redox endpoints and an experimental biological-age model. Product attribution to spermidine is not possible.
