Medical Advisory Board
Last reviewed: July 2026 · Reviewed by Dr. Khaled Mahmoud, Founder, Biohack Blueprint
Every review published on Biohack Blueprint is written by a named physician and checked, before it goes live, by a named medical advisor whose training matches the subject matter. Named clinical review is the editorial spine of this site — it is what allows us to publish critical, evidence-first commentary on longevity supplements without the anonymity that lets influencer-led sites overstate what the evidence actually shows.
This page introduces the physicians whose names sit at the top and foot of our reviews. Each has their own profile page linked below.
How our review process works
Every review moves through the same sequence before publication.
- Draft — Written by Dr. Khaled Mahmoud, our Founder and Editor-in-Chief, working directly from the primary literature.
- Medical review — Assigned to the advisory board member whose training matches the review's subject matter. Cardiometabolic, endocrine and musculoskeletal reviews go to Dr. Amr Nassar. Neuroscience, cognitive and neurological reviews go to Dr. Abdulla Mostafa.
- Reviewer sign-off — The reviewing physician verifies that every clinical claim is supported by a cited peer-reviewed source, that manufacturer claims have been fairly assessed, that limitations are stated at the same hierarchy as strengths, and that dosing recommendations reflect the trial evidence rather than the manufacturer default.
- Publication with named byline — The review carries the author's name in the header, the reviewer's name below the title, and the last-reviewed date at the foot of the page. The reviewer's byline is a signature: it means a named physician has personally verified the content.
- Ongoing review cycle — Every published review is re-checked periodically against new evidence, and the last-reviewed date is updated when it changes.
The rules governing this process are set out in full on our Editorial Standards page. Our approach to selecting products, weighing evidence, and framing manufacturer claims is documented in our Methodology.
Editorial leadership
Dr. Khaled Mahmoud, MBBCh — Founder & Editor-in-Chief
Dr. Khaled Mahmoud is a practising ICU physician and the founding editor of Biohack Blueprint. His clinical background in intensive care medicine — where dosing precision, drug interaction management, and unflinching interpretation of evidence are non-negotiable — shapes the editorial voice of the site. He writes every review personally, works exclusively from the primary literature, and holds the site to the standard that a supplement claim be treated with the same rigour a clinician would apply to a prescription.
Dr. Mahmoud sets the editorial policy, commissions the review programme, and is responsible for every published word on the site.

Medical Advisory Board
The advisory board provides the independent clinical review layer that distinguishes Biohack Blueprint from unreviewed longevity content. Neither advisor holds any commercial relationship with a supplement manufacturer. Their role is to verify — not to endorse.
Dr. Amr Yasser Said Nassar, PhD — Medical Reviewer, Cardiometabolic & Musculoskeletal
Dr. Nassar is the primary reviewer for the largest share of the review catalogue. His remit covers the cardiometabolic pillar — lipid metabolism, glycaemic control, blood pressure, endothelial function — together with musculoskeletal and general internal medicine content. His publication record and academic profile are listed on his advisor page.
Reviews commonly assigned to Dr. Nassar include those covering NMN, TMG, Ca-AKG, berberine, resveratrol, creatine, hydrolysed collagen peptides, hyaluronic acid, quercetin, fisetin, and cardiovascular ingredients such as nitric oxide precursors and omega-3.

Dr. Abdulla Mostafa Abu Elsoud, PhD — Medical Reviewer, Neuroscience & Cognition
Dr. Abu Elsoud is the reviewer for neuroscience, cognitive and neurological content. His remit covers reviews touching on cognition, mood, sleep, neuroinflammation, blood-brain barrier considerations and neurodegenerative pathways. His publication record and academic profile are listed on his advisor page.
Reviews commonly assigned to Dr. Abu Elsoud include those covering apigenin, spermidine, cognitive nootropics, and any review with a substantive neurological or cognitive claim in the manufacturer copy.

Independence and disclosure
The Medical Advisory Board is editorially independent. Neither Dr. Nassar nor Dr. Abu Elsoud has any commercial arrangement with any supplement brand. Their engagement with Biohack Blueprint is limited to the clinical review of published content.
Biohack Blueprint's own commercial relationship is disclosed openly on every review and set out in full on our Affiliate Disclosure and Partnership page. The affiliate arrangement does not extend to the advisory board and does not influence the sign-off decision on any review.
If we cover a product that is manufactured by a company with which a reviewer holds a relationship — professional, academic, or advisory — the review is reassigned to a different reviewer or, where no independent reviewer is available, we decline to publish.
How reviewer assignment works
Reviewer assignment is decided by the subject matter of the review, not by rota. A review of a cardiometabolic ingredient goes to a reviewer with cardiometabolic training. A review of a cognitive ingredient goes to a reviewer with neuroscience training. Reviews that cross both domains — for example, an NAD⁺ precursor discussed in both cardiometabolic and cognitive contexts — may carry both reviewer bylines.
Where no reviewer on the board holds appropriate training for the subject matter, we hold the review from publication until an appropriately credentialed reviewer can be engaged. We do not publish clinical reviews without appropriate clinical sign-off.
Contacting the board
Correspondence relating to editorial content, factual corrections, or clinical concerns raised by a review should be sent through our Contact page. Correspondence relating specifically to the safety of a supplement you are taking should be discussed with your own clinician first; our position on adverse-event reporting is set out in our FAQ and our Medical Disclaimer.
